From @badassboz … as I drop the mic today after @kourtneykardash so graciously agreed to #ShareTheMicNow… I leave you with an action to take to be an active participant in changing our world.
THE CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU.
We’re all searching for a larger platform to be on, or a larger mission to join, but perhaps the real solution is in the mirror every day. Are you truly the best version of yourself that you can be? Do you bring your WHOLE beautiful self to every space you occupy? Do you aspire to goals which will expand your greatness? If you do… I applaud you! And if you don’t, I implore you to do so! But regardless of which answer you gave, we can all do better, and we can all work on ourselves to be better. Our world would be better for it. Racism won’t exist if we see our own greatness and beauty reflected in “other” people. Perhaps if the police who murdered George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, or the racists who ran down and killed Ahmaud Aubrey had elevated their own consciousness to see value in their own lives, they would’ve appreciated the greatness in the Black people they took from this beautiful life… we can work to be better individuals— and therefore a better society— starting today.
I’m doing this work every day in my badass way— regardless of where a I am— in my career, in my motherhood, in my friendships. Join me. Let’s work together to achieve our greatest potential.
