Vanessa is now interested in the Philippines where it's 'trendy' to be Filipino with the line of Miss Universes hailing from the Philippines, social media sensations hailing from the Philippines etc. who all proudly announced their Philippine origin. All these years since her teenage years, Vanessa hardly ever spoke about her Filipino heritage. But now where it's 'cool' to be Filipino and it's 'cool' to be a celebrity discovering their heritage via documentary, she does exactly that. Too bad that all these years, she didn't raise awareness of the Philippines at all, only now where her herself has a benefit out of it. 😊

When a celebrity with Filipino roots becomes “obsolete” in hollywood, THEY SUDDENLY CLAIM THEY ARE FILIPINO JUST TO BECOME RELEVANT. Being a tourist ambassador DOES NOT JUSTIFY the doings of this so-called “global superstar”. I would prefer having SANDARA PARK being the tourist ambassador of the Philippines despite NOT having a Filipino blood BUT KNOWS the CULTURE, the ins-and-outs OF BEING PINOY. SANDARA PARK as well is A TRUE GLOBAL SUPERSTAR not to mention her 2NE1 korean pop group that started the K-POP global attention.
I dont know whats with our government. Getting an ambassador who doesnt even visit philippines, this is nonsense and an idiotic decision, a lot more people who are more deserving than this one

She’s the most uninterested and apathetic Ambassador I guess. There are many other half Filipinos who could greatly represent and introduce the Philippines to the world. I vote for Sandara Park & Jokoy to name a few.
