    1. Angelina Jolie played Colin Farell’s mother in the Notorious film Alexander. Jolie was 29 and Farrell was 28, with only 11 months age gap between them.

    2. In the movie ‘Rocketman’ Bryce Dallas Howard played Taron Egerton’s onscreen mother despite being only 9 years older than the actor in real life

    3. In ‘Star Trek’ Winona Ryder played Zachary Quinto’s onscreen mother, the real life age difference between the two actors was only six years with Ryder being 38 and Quinto being 32 at the time

    4. In the hit HBO show ‘House of the Dragon’ actress Olivia Cooke (30) plays mother to three kids all quite close to her in age, Tom Glynn Carney (29), Ewan Mitchell (27) and Phia Saban (25)

    5. In hit show ‘Orange is the new Black’ Elizabeth Rodriguez played Dascha Polanco’s onscreen mother, but in real life there was less than a two-year age gap between them.

    6. In ‘Forrest Gump’ Sally Field played mother to Tom Hanks while only being ten years older than him in real life. In an earlier movie Punchline, she had even played his love interest.

    7. In ‘Six feet Under’ Frances Conroy and Peter Krause play mother and son, however she is only 12 years older than him.

      Olivia Cooke is believable as 40 on HoTD. Maybe they aged her up? She looks exhausted.

      Jennifer Lewis was only 6 years older than Whitney Houston when she played her Mom in The Preachers Wife.

      It’s so wild to me that HOTD did “young” and “old” versions of Alicent and Rhaenyra with like, ten years in between them.

      These are all awful. Angelina Jolie is actually a great age to play Olympias. Farell is much too old. Olympias was a teenage wife and mother. She was 16 when he was born. Alexander was 32 when he died, in Babylon.

      Angela Lansbury was 37years old when she played Warren Beatty’s (25) mom in “All Fall Down” and Lawrence Harvey’s (34) mother in the “Manchurian Candidate”
