we’re back with one of our favorites Scarlet Johansson she has wowed us with action movies made us cry with heart-wrenching dramas it’s a good intro right and her newest movie is a Twist on the romcom it’s called Fly Me to the Moon and Scarlet plays an advertising executive task was selling Americans on the idea of the Apollo 11 moon mission and it includes Charming some influential people so I’m betting you have some other Southern Accents in that bag of trick yours can you do Louisiana New Orleans or Baton Rouge wherever his wife’s from okay call Davis and you must be Miss Kelly Jones please come in y’all thank you so much for having us for dinner well no no I was told you are New York City Ty oh God no I just work there I’m from Louisiana bone and raisin one day buried exactly Scarlett good morning good morning this is such a fun novel original idea it’s a romcom which I’m happy Viva L romcom are you a romcom person I am yes I’ve been watching all the Norah Efron movies recently I’m just like on a kick and they’re just when they’re good they’re just the best they’re just so good you’re like well this is right there with the romcom genre but it takes place in the late 60s and tell me how this idea came about well the idea came about um so I have a production company here in New York called these pictures and one of my our our Associates our head of film um Keenan just was toying around with this idea of like well what if this conspiracy theory like was true what like what could you build a genre movie around this conspiracy theory is that the moon landing was fake yes that’s the one so this sets you up you’re you’re a PR person for NASA it’s the 60s we get major Dawn Draper Vibes you’re like Donna Draper don’t you think I love that totally so it’s really fun with the highball without theball exactly the misogyny but anyway it’s um you’re out there and you you run into the flight director played by Channing Tatum right and Sparks Fly well Sparks Fly initially like literally fly um he almost uh I almost set myself on fire um but then of course we don’t realize exactly you know we have this kind of meat cute and then don’t realize that we’re actually kind of working as Polar Opposites and so there’s a lot of friction there and he is very um you know by the books he has a ton of Integrity he is like kind of a control freak and I am just not something that he can control yeah not at all you show him who boss so tell me about like working with Channing because you you have actually been in the same movie but you never really worked together so this was your first chance yes weirdly we’ve been in two other films together but we’ve never actually worked together we were in he and Annie Hathaway did a little part in Don John where they recreated a romantic comedy and then again we worked well I wouldn’t say together but we did a we were both parts of hail Caesar um and so this was the first time we actually got to have dialogue so you’re the producer of the movie does that mean you get to like pick your romantic partner we like let me look at some 8 by 10 glossies who do I like unattractive person I can think of janon keum um yeah he’s like you know not hard to fall in love with I would say um he’s yeah he’s just a very charismatic have you met him before he’s he’s just a absolutely lovable guy actually both of you I can see why you clicked and why the chemistry is there in the movie because you’re just like kind of normal even though you’re big stars I mean you know whatever that means there’s a spectrum of normaly I’m sure but he’s no he’s just such an easygoing person he’s obviously he’s a a very professional person he’s been working for a long long time and I think for the two of us we both you know we’ve we’ve had our lives we’ve like lived it and so it was nice to just yeah just like okay so what’s your story like where are we connecting and I think it was just easy chemistry and again is easy on the eyes he yeah exactly why not okay speaking of easy on the eyes your husband Colin Joe know I tell Colin that I expect him to thank me for that um he I just learned that he is going to be covering the Olympics for us even I’m like is that how is that how did he get this game I just want to know it’s even worse of a boondoggle than Paris which we’re we’re already all getting away with he’s going to Tahiti to cover surfing what is like I’m like is this a job like are they like how is this yeah he always like so when they announced the Paris Olympics he immediately found out that they were doing the surf competition in Tahiti which surf he loves to Surf you know like he’s got we have a place in mon talk he’s like always out there surfing um and somehow the dream became a reality and now he’s going to be in tahi for two weeks I’m like who are you yeah ex he’s like I got to work yeah he’s working he’s like I’m poor me I’m going to be all over the place I’m like are you all over is the place toah heiti yeah I’m like what like you’re going to have you have I think if you can have a p colada on air while you’re working like that’s not technically work exactly meanwhile you are you’ve been in Thailand you’re shooting Jurassic world I hear you like so this is like the whole new franchise but I hear you are like OG fan of Jurassic Park in those movies I am I have to say the first Jurassic Park I it’s one of the first movies I remember seeing in the theater I was probably like 10 or 11 and it was absolutely transformative for me I mean the experience was we had never seen anything like that CGI used in that way and when you see it it still holds up I mean it looks so great it is I remember it too it’s like the magic your eyes are just like what these are real dinosaurs absolutely I mean it looked incredible the actors were so amazing Sam Neil Laura dur Jeff Goldblum and it had so much heart and it just the score by John Williams like it just ah love I’m glad you mentioned the stars because somebody wanted to welcome you aboard to the team take a look what Dr Johansson this is Jeff Goldblum um here’s what I want to say to you this I know Scarlet um will find a way oh no way so so much uh don’t get eaten unless you want to I love you oh my god Scarlet will find a way so we know that water finds a way yes it’s from they said iconic line from the movie Life finds a way life life finds a way that’s what it is life finds oh my gosh I can’t believe dinosaur sweater for you I mean I think my life is complete now it’s done done I can retire thank you so much we love having you always the movie is called Fly Me to the Moon hits theaters Friday will be a great one with your sweetie on a Friday night yeah great Date Movie great family movie see you soon thank you we’ll
