      Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks. I like to think that the end of the Return was a sort of reset a version of her, but who really knows when it comes to Lynch?

      Non-Yaoi fans will not get it but Seth from Ennead had to deal with:

      • his wife (Nephthys) cheating on him with his brother (Osiris). They had a child (Anubis) whom they made everyone believe is Seth’s.

      • Osiris, his brother, raping him.

      • his nephew, Horus, raping him while possessed by Sekhmet (goddess of destruction).

      • his sister, Isis, deciding to turn against him because she was jealous Osiris, her husband, desired him instead of her.

      • being gangraped by humans after being turned into a demigod.

      • being raped (again) by Jesus (he’s probably not Jesus but looks like him).

      • his son, Anubis, not recognizing him anymore after his memories were erased by Osiris.

      • Osiris still trying to bring him to Duat (the underworld where he’s imprisoned forever) by using Anubis as his henchman.

      Buffy would top my list of characters who did not deserve an ounce of the suffering they endured. Theon Greyjoy deserved his suffering, but, damn, he really did suffer.

      Buffy was my immediate thought. Holy shit this girl goes through it. Season six is divisive for good reason but Buffy’s depression in that season is one of the best depictions I’ve seen on media. I want to hug her 😭
