Minka Kelly will star in the Netflix holiday rom-com “Champagne Problems,” directed by Mark Steven Johnson. She plays a mergers and acquisitions executive who goes to France before Christmas to finalize a champagne brand deal but falls for the founder’s son. Release details and additional cast are pending. Johnson previously directed “Love in the Villa” and “Love, Guaranteed.” Producers Stephanie Slack and Margret H. Huddleston are involved. Kelly will also appear in the Netflix series “Ransom Canyon” and was recently in “Blackwater Lane.” Netflix continues to prioritize romantic comedies, with recent titles including “A Family Affair” and “Mother of the Bride.”
