I’m struggling to understand the phrasing of this statement…

  2. This is both confusingly worded and unbelievably entitled. If they were booked, why would you assume you’d get a table?

  3. So, just because she’s rich and famous, she should be seated over reservation holders? It’s like the insufferable old, “Dont you know who I am?” thing. Maybe they didn’t care, or just weren’t that impressed with all the fame and money, made from hitting a fuzzy ball with a racket? It’s really not that important.

Oh no. A celebrity had to put up with being treated like a normal person. I hope she survived.

  5. I wouldn’t be happy to go to a restaurant that cancelled a reservation we made months ago and gave our table to a celeb. That would be infuriating!

That’s just how she is, she’s pulled the same shit in NY restaurants and once demanded to be let through and cut a line of people at Oddfellows ice cream in Brooklyn

  7. Lol she meant this to be a “black woman faces discrimination” post. But everyone is reading it as a “rich entitled celebrity thinks she’s better than everyone” post.

  8. Leave Serena alone. Let’s be fair they were trying to correct it once they realized who the person was.

Love Serena but not this lol. Also, I get the gist but I can’t figure out the wording at all.

Some of y’all are forgetting that racism usually tries to borrow a plausible excuse. It’s a shame that this happened, but I’m not going to blame her for assuming that she was experiencing racism in Europe.
