    >A British mum was left “devastated” after the Passport Office denied her application for a passport for her toddler because she shares the same name as a character from the HBO series *Game of Thrones*.

    >39-year-old Lucy from Swindon had planned a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland Paris for both her and her 6-year-old daughter Khaleesi.

Not a name; it’s a title. The article even says later that it means “Queen”, but they keep referring to it as the character’s name…and then they refer to her as an ‘ice queen’ which is pretty much the exact opposite of what she is: she’s fiery, both literally and figuratively.

But whatever, putting my nerdiness aside, what a very dumb mistake by the passport office there; glad to see that it all got resolved in the end, when they realized how very very dumb it was to deny the passport on copyright grounds.

Way to bury that 3/4 through the article.
