Not what I expect? You mean this one will be a tight 90 minutes?! Thank fuck.

What I want is to visit more places and see more animals, learn about the ecology and geography, heck the culture and anthropology of the blue people.

feel like we only saw three or four different animals in the second one and they were glorified whales.

  3. There’s gonna be all sorts of shitting on this in this post, but both Avatars made BILLIONS. That’s a win for everyone.

And say what you want about the 3D or the high frame rate. But you won’t convince me I did NOT see two 10 foot tall cat people fighting on a hovercraft. The whole thing looked ASTONISHING.

I’m seeing the rest just for spectacle.

Cameron films don’t HAVE to be good. They just need to be *fucking awesome*. And they are. As it happens, most of the are also VERY good, and some merely good enough. But none of ‘em are boring.

Somehow I have a feeling it’s gonna be exactly what I expect. 3 hour runtime. They visit the “evil” fire nation. They learn their ways and see some spectacular sights. The real evil is humanity. Big climatic action scene where main guy saves them all. Am I close.
