This is horrible. These judges screwed this up so badly. Two women have had their dreams achieved and then snatched back. Give them both the bronze.

Oh man this is so very messy. Four seconds? Why was her team allowed to make the inquiry and the judges rule if it was late? I saw the heartbreak of the Romanian gymnast in real time and the elation for Jordan. Feels so unnecessary.

  3. As much as I feel sorry for Jordan, people also have been horrendous to Ana and Sabrina, yes that is their names too. I saw someone call them sore losers in another thread from this sub, like what? It is not their fault the judges were incompetent. For some countries like Romania these medals mean the world to their countries. You cant blame them for wanting the best for their athletes.

  4. Absolute mess by the judges.

If they had all been scored correctly it should have been 3rd: Sabina (ROU) 4th: Jordan (USA) 5th: Ana (ROU)

But they initially messed up Jordan’s Difficulty score and erroneously penalised Sabina.

Jordan’s inquiry was upheld (unfortunately after Ana started celebrating her 3rd place position). Sabina’s wasn’t – I think it’s because a Penalty or Execution score cannot be challenged but happy to be corrected on that if I’m wrong. Then Jordan’s correction was overturned by CAS because the inquiry was 4 seconds too late. CAS refused to accept the appeal to correct Sabina’s score.

Both Jordan and Sabina were screwed over by FIG rules, bumping Ana up to third.

In their appeal to CAS, Romania asked for all thiree to be given bronze but it was rejected.

Wait, can someone who understands this explain it me? I understand that the inquiry was “4 second too late.” But what was it over? Whatever was challenged was apparently wrong anyway? I think Chiles’s sister said something about “difficulty.” But I don’t think I fully understand…
