  1. I appreciate these reviews so much. It's always a delight to hear your thoughts and analysis, plus the wobbles – excellent icing on the cake. Appreciated the philosophical musing about changing one's mind. Never thought about the flat backgrounds in comparison to the first film either, it must indeed have been due to this being the first one done for stereo from the start. If i recall correctly, King Fu Panda 2 was roughly the third movie I ever saw in reald 3D after Monsters vs aliens and avatar, and I will love it forever! What an impressive presentation…

  2. After watching your glowing review of Kung Fu Panda, I sought it out and watched it. I had always figured it would be saddled with cheesy one-liners and annoying characters. Contrary to my belief, the characters were all delightful and unsaddled by one-liners. And, the 3-D was stupendous. I really enjoyed it and I’m glad you helped steer me in its direction. But I gotta part ways with you on this one. Because unfortunately, the second film was a huge comedown for me; the titular panda has sadly turned into an annoying uninteresting self-obsessed one-liner spouting jerk, which really hamstrings the film in spite of its still-likable supporting characters, and the 3-D isn’t even as good as the first one. The only thing it really has going for it are the darker tone and the super-cool stylized 2-D animation flashbacks. Basically, the second film is everything I feared the excellent first film would be. Now I’m really hesitant to watch 3 and 4.
