i really loved the album and personally agree with the score but i’m also so surprised ??? i fully expected them to hate it

  2. I like the album but this just seems so high when you consider what they’ve given other recent pop albums that are imo much better like hit me hard and soft (6.8)

love the album and it’s one of my favorites of the year but i’m definitely surprised ngl

  4. You can’t convince me that Pitchfork isn’t using a random score generator.

It’s a great album, but how they rate albums relatively to each other doesn’t make sense.

  5. Said this over in popheads but I think this is a big part of what got her the 8 (especially in comparison to pop albums that might be viewed by some as stronger bodies of work, but that didn’t score as high):

“In a pop landscape recently plagued by self-seriousness and a tiresome obsession with authenticity, Short n’ Sweet is a refreshing glass of escapism.”
