Vicki Gunvalson, star of The Real Housewives of Orange County, recently shared a harrowing health scare on her podcast. The reality TV star revealed that a sinus infection escalated into a life-threatening case of sepsis, leaving her with just a 10-20% chance of survival.
Initially misdiagnosed, Gunvalson experienced memory loss and stroke-like symptoms, prompting her boyfriend’s daughter to rush her to the hospital. Doctors eventually discovered the infection had caused pneumonia and sepsis.
After days of intensive treatment, Gunvalson is now recovering at home, still feeling weak and emotional, but grateful for the quick actions of those around her.

I had a bacterial infection in my head in 2021 and I am still recovering. It has been the craziest experience. I don’t care for Vicki, but I wish her nothing but the best in this circumstance.
