Beychella must be the first one that comes to my mind. I’m sure the Netflix documentary doesn’t do justice and that’s saying a LOT. It looked even SCARY.

Soda Stereo is one of my favorite bands ever and I’m so sad I didn’t enjoy them while they were together and when Gustavo Cerati was alive. His solo work is fascinating.

And of course, anything MJ did.

Before Adele really blew up, a bunch of my friends were going to see her at a small venue in another city. I didn’t go because I hadn’t listened to 19 very much and didn’t really know her.

    *Such* a mistake.

  2. I soon wanted to see Linkin Park back in 2004 but they never toured in my country back then and I was still too young to travel. I’m still sad about Chester 🙁

  3. I regret pretending I was too cool for Britney when I got to high school and never going to see her live! I wasn’t allowed to go to concerts until high school and by then I was all about being ~too cool~ to do the things I liked in middle school.

  4. Not that I’m even American but congrats to the folk who say Chappell at the fun Coachella just before she blew up, it looked like a ton of fun

I‘d love to have seen Fleetwood Mac in their prime and Nirvana at some point. I would have loved to be a grunge teen during the original grunge era.

    Too young for both.

  6. Any Britney concert.

I was going to BSB, NSYNC, and Xtina…but I never made it to hers. Thus, I missed out on the peak aught experience.

  7. Nirvana–I turned down a chance to see them summer of 93 and I’ve regretted it ever since.

I’ve been lucky enough to see Queen + Adam Lambert twice, but oh my god, to be able to see Queen at their prime, with Freddie Mercury and John Deacon? The stuff dreams are made of. Have to settle for their concert films. Seeing Queen Rock Montreal in IMAX this year was *insane*.

I was suppose to go see Joan Jett and Heart for my birthday one year and ended up not going. There’s not much I regret more.

any Lana Del Rey performance before 2016

missing out on Paradise Tour will probably haunt me until my very last days

  11. One of Tom Perry’s last two shows. I was tired from seeing Solange a couple days earlier.

Metallica, Seattle 1989. I couldn’t make it as I wasn’t born yet but I watch the video of their performance of Master of Puppets all the time because it looked SO fun.

I was obsessed with The Weeknd when he was still playing low key venues in Canada….one weekend I was going to drive over to Canada by myself (I live in Michigan) and see him play at this small venue since none of my friends knew who he was….regret it to this day lol I saw him live after he blew up and he was amazing so I guess I can’t be too upset 🤷🏻‍♀️

Me and my co-workers regret not seeing Usher’s Vegas residency. He’s coming to our job next month so we get to see him for free and our fingers are crossed that it’s similar to the residency.

But personally I regret not getting to see Fleetwood Mac. I didn’t have money for the ticket at the time, the pandemic came, and now they don’t tour anymore because Christine died 🙁

  15. MJ did a concert in my usually forgotten country in 1996 when I was 14 years old, but we weren’t allowed to go because we had to study for our final exams. Super jealous of the very few kids who went. ;_;

nine inch nails. all trent & atticus do now is compose film scores (which i love!), but i miss the band. though i suppose there might still be hope in the future… it’s not like they’ve broken up.

  17. The Soft Moon, he passed away in January 🙁 One of my top 5 artists I’m kicking myself for missing his stop in my city. RIP Luis Vasquez 😭

Here is my cop-out answer: any nostalgia show pre-2020, when you could see acts on the cheap. Prices for everything have increased so much. For example, I went to a 1990s hip hop nostalgia show in 2017–Vanilla Ice, Kid and Play, Salt n Peppa, Tone Loc, All 4 One, multiple other acts, and my ticket was $20 for GOOD seats. I saw Bret Michaels on the rock of love tour in 2008-ish for around $40 and we were 10 rows back and it was a great show. I wish I had gone to more shows like that! Specifically, I wish I had seen Bon Jovi pre-2013 (in the 1990s when they were at their low point in the US and just filling clubs, but at their vocal peak would have been ideal), at that time, I was at the age where i only cared about pop/party music is a biggie! I also wish I had seen Madonna in the ROL era.

  19. I saw the spice girls reunion tour when I was like 18/19 but I would have loved to have seen them in the 90s as a crying 8 year old.

prince. he was in atlanta as his last concert & i went on a cruise that week so i couldn’t go. that’ll haunt me forever.

I was too young back then to attend on my own but definitely Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 Coachella set.😭 I still have hope the duo will reunite in the future.🤡

  22. I had to skip a Panic at the Disco concert last December, because I heard the lights in the show were very intense, and I have seizures.

Like a month later Brendon Urie announced he wouldn’t be touring any more because his wife was pregnant and he was retiring from touring 😭😭😭

Panic is my favorite band of all time, I’ve seen them live like 6-7 times, but I will FOREVER kick myself for missing that last show.

  23. Skipped a handful of concerts I had tickets to in the 90s — REM, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden — because I put a crazy amount of pressure on myself and felt like I needed to stay home to finish school work. I’ve seen many of those bands since then, but I’ve always regretted missing their peak.

But the one I kick myself over is opting to go to work instead of Outside Lands in SF in 2009. I told a friend of mine I’d meet her there — she was going with or without me because she wanted to see Pearl Jam— but a big work project came up and I bailed. She died a few months later and I’ve always regretted not having that day with her.

  24. I missed seeing Mac Miller in 2012 as I had just had my wisdom teeth out the day before. Was always on my bucket list to see someday. 😓
