      They were warning Musk for a while now to adhere to their laws.

      I saw some people on another thread dismissing this due to the instability in Latin America, but Brazil is not one of those countries. They are the third strongest economy in the western hemisphere, and particularly in pop culture: music, television, movies, and sports. In regards to a pop culture economy, they are second only to the United States, and we know that stan twitter and sports twitter is a huge part of its traffic.

      This is a huge miscalculation from Musk when so many Americans are leaving to threads. He’s used to being untouchable in the United States, and his former celebrity status gave him an inflated ego.

      EU is threatening the same measures, but Brazil put their money where their mouth is. This could be the beginning of the end (officially) for Twitter. Huge loss on Musky’s end.

      Cant wait for the relevant people to repossess twitter. This nonsense is exhausting. Its easy for people to snark about using it but its an invaluable place of community and info sharing for a lot of groups who really need it. This really will be a huge loss for many.
