Ages ago when I was in a Titanic phase in middle school (97/98) there were predictions that Titanic wouldn’t be around in 100 years due to the rust mites eating the hull. I think there’s a James Cameron interview floating around that since the wreck was found and “salvagers” keep going into the wreck, causing untold damage that has increased since his movie, the wreck is going to collapse much sooner than expected.
