Julianne Hough is an actress, singer, dancer, entrepreneur, Emmy Award-winning choreographer, host and judge. She became a household name as a two-time champion on ABC’s top-rated “Dancing with the Stars” before gaining global recognition for her award-winning film and music career.
Her filmography includes appearances in ensemble casts such as FOOTLOOSE with Miles Teller and Dennis Quaid, ROCK OF AGES with Tom Cruise and SAFE HAVEN with Josh Duhamel. She can also be seen in BURLESQUE alongside Christina Aguilera and Cher and DIRTY GRANDPA with Robet DeNiro and Zac Efron. On the TV side, she has hosted numerous ABC specials, played ‘Jolene’ in Dolly Parton’s “Heartstrings,” and played “Sandy” in FOX Television’s critically acclaimed “Grease Live!” which won 4 Emmy Awards. She also garnered 2 Emmy nominations for Best Choreography on “Dancing with the Stars,” and won an Emmy for choregraphing Sia’s memorable performance of “Elastic Heart” alongside her brother Derek and Tessandra Chavez. Julianne will return as the host of “Dancing with the Stars” as the show embarks on its highly anticipated 33rd season.
Her musical talents extend beyond the dance floor. Julianne’s self-titled debut album, which was released in 2008 by Universal Music Group Nashville, topped the Billboard Country charts and secured a third spot on the Billboard 200, marking a milestone for country artists. She went on to win the Best New Female Vocalist and Best New Artist categories at the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Additionally, Julianne is known for her on-stage talent on Broadway. She made her Broadway debut in Selina Fillinger’s POTUS, which received rave reviews. Director and five-time Tony winner Susan Stroman particularly praises Julianne’s performance, calling her a “revelation.”
Julianne’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through Kinrgy, a groundbreaking fitness modality she founded in 2020 that emphasizes holistic wellness for the mind, body and soul. After partnering with Xponential Fitness to transform the experience from an online platform to brick-and-mortar locations, Kinrgy rapidly expanded and opened its flagship location in West Hollywood in March 2024. She additionally founded Canary House Productions, which provides storytelling rooted in transformation and self-discovery, and co-founded Fresh Vine Wine alongside Nina Dobrev.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Julianne is deeply committed to philanthropy, lending her support to various causes and charitable organizations. Notably, she has been a partner and board member of Kind Campaign, an organization that brings awareness and healing to the negative and lasting effects of girl-against-girl bullying. Additionally, her advocacy extends to causes close to her heart, including animal welfare, endometriosis, breast cancer and mental health initiatives.
