Jennifer Lawrence backs age gap

  1. I think there’s more pushback today of large age gaps. Didn’t Jenna Ortega have to defend hers in a recent movie.

If you watched Lawrence’s movie, I think you’ll find it poking at the age gap issue.

  2. There is no “double standard.” People’s negative reaction has to do with the fertility windows of such age gap relationships.

Older male + younger female = high chance of fertility and ability to successfully provide for a family

Older female + younger male = low chance of fertility and/or lower ability to provide for a family

    Make sense?

  3. I disagree with her saying, "If the roles were reversed, no one would care." When older men date younger women, they're called "pigs" or "predator." Women do it and no one bats an eye.

  4. She has a point.. my wife is 18 years younger than I am and no one bats an eye.

But if you think about it she was 4 years old when my first child was born.

I spent thirty years as a copper and there is a reason that 18 year old women are let into clubs.

They draw men who actually spend money.

  5. I think part of it is also less the gap and more the numbers themselves. The moment you see an adult with a teenager it sends up red flags. Someone in their twenties, even early twenties, is given more credit as an adult who can make their own choices than a 19 year old is.
