  1. Can’t stress enough how lucky he got, hopefully he learns from it and continues to have a healthy recovery.

I really hope he’s learned his lesson regarding the importance of helmets. And I hope others have vicariously learned from him as well. Helmets really are non-negotiables people!!

Having said that, I’m glad and relieved to see him out and about!

  3. I want to normalize wearing long evening gloves for like, grocery shopping. I’m obsessed with that look!

  4. Glad he’s doing well. Such a scary thing, but hopefully he stays safe and wears a helmet if he’s ever contemplating riding again someday. Love seeing her kids supporting her and her supporting her kids.

I worked with TBI patients for years. While there are situations where you can recover, you will never be the same cognitively. It’s like when you have an ankle injury and it never quite feels right, well, your brain is the same, but it’s worse.

I worked with a kid who was the #2 Baseball recruit in the entire state. One early morning, after a party, he was driving to baseball practice, fell asleep, and hit a tree. No seat belt, car was completely totaled, and his entire life changed instantly. Not only was his baseball career over, his ability to get a job and be independent was over.

Wear your seat belts, wear helmets, don’t text and drive, don’t drink and drive, don’t be careless bc even a minor brain injury can change everything.

I’m happy to see him up and about! I figured he was much worse off than they were letting on. Head injuries are no joke, wear your helmets!
