Cobie Smulders And Her ‘Mother’ Finale Feelings
Over the course of nine seasons, How I Met Your Mother unfolded a storyline that culminated in the audience finally getting to meet “the mother” and, in the series finale, getting a glimpse into the characters’ futures. That finale, though, was a polarizing one — while some enjoyed it, some were not impressed, and a 2018 USA Today feature ranked the finale as TV’s all-time worst.
Cobie Smulders, who starred as Robin on the series, isn’t taking sides in the debate; as she said during her panel at Terrificon 2024, she was just happy that the show’s fans stuck with it all the way to its conclusion.
