Kristina Joksimovic, 38, was found slain in her home in February in Binningen, near the city of Basel in Switzerland.
She was strangled to death and savagely dismembered by her husband, who then “pureed” her remains in a blender, Swiss officials revealed.

Another day another headline about an abhorrent crime committed by a man against his wife and the mother of his children.The increase in femicide rates all over the world in the last few years is extremely disturbing and every single day we are confronted by a new story depicting the increasingly brutal and violent ways women lose their lives at the hands of men who claim to love them. Less than a week ago, Olympic marathon runner Rebecca Cheptegei was horrifically burned alive by her partner and now Kristina has lost her life in equally horrific manner. They both leave behind young children who will have to deal with the trauma of losing their mothers in such brutal circumstances. This world is seriously messed up and continues to revel in the pain and destruction of women. Rest in peace Kristina, you deserve to be remembered for more than how your life ended.

This is such a sad story. That poor woman, to die in a terrible way and her remains being mutilated so savagely. Also what a trauma for the children that must be, to lose their mom and then if they ever find out what happened to her. So tragic and unnecessary.
