  1. All the dudes, wiggle your dicks for Brooke Candy :'( :'( :'(

All the hoes, Jiggle your tits for Brooke Candy :'( :'( :'(

Brooke Candy the haters love to doubt her, Candy is her name but there was nothing sweet about her, UH!

  2. i don’t know much about brooke candy outside of her music, but i feel for her. it’s true that a lot of pop fans are more concerned with stats and records than the music itself. obviously, this doesn’t apply to all pop fans, and you could say it’s just a vocal minority of chronically online stans who are always ready to call anyone a “flop” at the drop of a hat.

can’t imagine how hard it is to continue to grind and have that vocal minority constantly telling you that you’re not successful enough to even bother making music. don’t know what to think of the roan and xcx comparison but i’m sure the people bothering her (brooke) have brought it up enough to warrant frustration on her part.

  3. this makes me sad. i saw her live and it was so great- she actually opened for charli :/ i hope she finds happiness

OK because when she said new workforce, I was like does she mean only fans? And then she did in fact mean only fans.

I actually feel her 😭. And she was a pioneer of certain aesthetics that have carried through into the mainstream. There was a time she and grimes were very similar levels of popularity in the tumblr-ish early Instagram avant garde artsy girl era.

Then, people in any mainstream still thought of visuals like hers as demonic, inappropriate, and unstable. Now, it’s the complete norm LARGELY via creative teams stealing ideas from niche artists like her including her and that shift happened very fast. From the inside as she is I’m sure it looks absurd to see now.

32 years on this rock and I’ve never heard of her. That was a lot. I hope she has a good support circle.

  7. Aww idk who she is. Just saved some songs on Spotify and will check her out. Those tweets were so raw /:

  8. I really hope we go back to a time where artists and celebrities have social media pages ran by someone else. There is no reason to be so accessible to the meaningless opinions of millions of people. It is borderline self-harm at this point

  9. funny enough, the only time i’ve ever really heard her music was a feature on a charli xcx song. and her verse included the lyrics:

“Ivana and Trump, shit, we coulda ran the world
You were my Chris Brown, I was your only girl”

and idk, i never really cared to hear more after that. but it really sucks if she’s getting harrassed by people.

  10. I feel bad for this girl. Any form of authentic expression (whether it’s music, art, singing, or even crafts) requires a lot of personal energy be poured into it. Of course you have to be prepared for criticism when you publish it to the world, but the cruelty of some people will straight up kill that spirit altogether. I fucking hate the level of bullying people seem to be okay with online.

  11. damn i really loved her new album too. i am a big fan of hers and now im like “dang i need to see her in concert one last time”.

i get where shes coming from. man even at her return show in brooklyn a year or two ago, there were people there shit talking her and im like why the fuck are you here??? my friend and i flew to see her and just couldn’t fathom going to a show like that for someone you seem to strongly dislike.
