      Makes me sad that Kanye put her in that position. Generous, but Jesus, he put two women in such a god awful situation. Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if his choice harmed Beyoncé in some ways.

      I am a Taylor fan and I don’t doubt that the moment was horrible for her but I also don’t like how Swifties forget the way seemingly EVERYONE including literal President Obama was in her side.

      **Ofc her hurt was valid, I’m not policing her emotions,** I’m criticizing the way Swifties talk about it as a unique trauma without acknowledging the unique validation she experienced right after. Even here, just briefly after the incident, she’s being cheered so enthusiastically she has to pause before speaking. Sure none of us will ever experience our moment being stolen on a nationally-broadcast stage, but none of us will ever experience being vocally supported by international media, Beyoncé, Pink, Lady Gaga, and the sitting President either.
