  1. How can a natural reaction to losing an award be disrespectful?

I thought there is something called freedom of speech and expression.

What makes Sofia less than human to be entitled to that freedom?

You are looking for disrespect where there's none and that in itself is extremely disrespectful.

  2. She was last standing up because she chatted with someone behind her while everybody was already standing up. The comment she made about being robbed the fifth time, of course you wanted to win after being nominated for several times. It's not that petty. I get it.

  3. Agree ! Your time comes when God allows it. To be ungrateful and show her bitterness is sad.
You are tested at every moment .Action on behaviour. It's all a test ! Actions do speak louder than words.

  4. I completely disagree. She was playful throughout this. She smiled, she clapped, she joked, she relaxed. What more can you want from here. She was a couple of words away from being an Emmy winning actress, so of course it would take a moment to get herself together, but she did and she was respectful. The comment about being robbed was jokey and pretty clearly in jest. She should be allowed to have a moment to understandably get herself together and if she isn’t going to walk away with the Emmy, she should at least be to joke about.

On your note about her deserving to win any of her 5 Emmy noms, did Julie Bowen really need to win twice? I wish it had worked around like the golden girls so that the awards got shared around between the awesome cast.

  5. Disrespectful is probably a little harsh of a judgement IMO, but I think we expect people to be gracious losers and while each action is understandable (I blame the dress for the delay in clapping) and likely rooted in disappointment more than anything (certainly the 'I was robbed/hamburger' parts feel to me like an attempt to deal with her disappointment with humour), the sum of it might leave some people feeling she comes across as a sore loser instead, especially when her direct communications to camera/social media don't offer a congratulations to the winner along with the joking which would have been the classy move.

  6. Just curious Graeme, weren't you defending Angela Bassett two years ago, who did more or less the same thing when she lost? Either it's disrespectful or it's not.

  7. c'mom… Sofia is a comedian. She has said several times that she feels blessed, that she never thought she would get to where she has arrived in Hollywood, that she does not take anything seriously, now Sofia is a millionaire and has achieved fame and money, and with Griselda she managed to get the public to look at her as an actress. and that he can play dramatic roles.
