  1. **From the article:**

    >Robbie is set to star as Catherine Earnshaw, and Elordi will play Heathcliff. Fennell is set to write, direct and produce. The film is in pre-production gearing up for a UK shoot in 2025.

    >The original novel by Brontë is considered by many to be one of the great pieces of literature when it was published in 1850. The original story follows two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons and the turbulent relationship they have with the Lintons foster son, Heathcliff.

    >Plot details on Fennell’s adaptation are unknown at this time.

I **will** be watching this movie during preview night.🍿

Okay, I love Jacob, but I was hoping for Archie Madekwe to be cast because he was so good in Saltburn and some people theorize that Heathcliff might be Black or mixed race, so I did want to see that take on it.

But nevertheless, I will be there, even with how much I hate Wuthering Heights, I love Emerald.

  3. The attention Greta Gerwig and Emerald Fennell get as *the* female filmmakers versus the countless others that aren’t pretty white blondes & aren’t former actresses….is very noticeable and disappointing.

Tell me why I first thought it said “to stun” 😭 well I mean hopefully they do that too

  5. Oh man. I hate Wuthering Heights as it’s a story with about three names that all the characters share, and everyone just makes each other miserable. That said, Emerald Fennell has such a interesting modern gothic sensibility, and both leads are people whose work I’ve really enjoyed…this might be great.

  6. To be honest, it doesn’t really matter who plays adult Cathy and Heathcliff. The characters as children are way more interesting. I hope they continue the movie into the second generation but I’m not hopeful after seeing this casting news.

However, I will still be seated!

  7. I actually think this is not very good casting at all unfortunately. Like they’re talented and I’m sure the aesthetics will be good but I think they’re significantly miscast.

Margot Robbie seems nothing like Catherine Earnshaw… I don’t see it. Both of them seem too pretty for these roles. But I guess I will hopefully be pleasantly surprised.

  9. I like them both, but they feel incredibly miscast for this . A Wuthering Heights adaption by Emerald Fennell is going to be horrid, though, so I guess I shouldn’t have expected to be excited by the casting choices.

  10. Gotta be honest. Getting a bit tired of Miss Robbie. It would be nice if studios gave other actors a chance. They’d save on budget too lol
