I think the crown and gown is giving a node to the original wizard of Oz movie glinda dress which I like because when I think of glinda the good witch I see her pink dress. I've seen the wicked play on YouTube Lord knows to many times and I'm a fan of the pink dress then the Blue dress shown in the play along with the blue dress American Girl made from Kavi Girl of the year a few years ago. I had a glinda wizard of Oz doll when I was a little girl and I loved her so much and she talked and sang.
