Reese Witherspoon made the announcement on her Instagram on Wednesday. “Our search for the high school version of Elle Woods is officially ON!” Witherspoon wrote in the post. “With our friends @primevideo we’re making the casting process totally OPEN, so you can submit your auditions at the link in my bio… I’m SO excited to see all your fabulous takes on everyone’s favorite Gemini vegetarian!”

I’m kind of torn on this prequel. On one hand, I like that Reese is at the helm of this project, but at the same time, the movies flourished in part to Elle Woods’ character development. Would we still see that in this? Also the fact that it’s a show instead of a movie could be a hit or a miss. I want to be optimistic but I won’t be getting my hopes up.
Just get her daughter. She’s almost a twin.

listen i’m beleagured by prequels, requels, remakes, reboots — you name it. that said, i’m thrilled to see an open casting call. we talk about hollywood rotating the same handful of young stars so more open casting calls are just exciting to see
