National Hispanic Heritage Month: Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria is an American actress, director and producer. She was born March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is best known for her role in Desperate Housewives for which she won 2 Screen Actors Guild Awards and received a Golden Globe Nomination. Alongside her creative work, Longoria is involved in a number of philanthropic activities. She founded Eva’s Heroes, a charity that help young adults with intellectual disabilities; The Eva Longoria Foundation which aims to provide a better future for the Latino community through education and entrepreneurship; she is also the spokesperson for PADRES Contra El Cancer, aim at children in the Latino community with cancer. The Hollywood Reporter awarded Longoria, Philanthropist of the Year in 2009 for her continued commitment to the Latino causes.
