Damn. She was a back-up singer for Lou Rawls, Otis Redding, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, and on Van Morrison’s “Brown-Eyed Girl.” Oh, and she won 2 Grammys for her solo Gospel work.
