The Ayers cut was originally going to be much darker showing the full abuse of the Joker towards Harley, but WB execs decided to meddle and give us the weird storyline we got.
The Joker is very abusive to Harley; he does not love her. He is a psychopath whose only love is himself, and, in some twisted way, Batman. And I do not mean romantic love, either. It seems to be that Joker sees himself in Batman. However, the point is that Joker does not love Harley, and we should STOP trying to ship that shit. Abuse is NEVER okay.
