Kid Rock, the country-rock star from metro Detroit, has become just as well-known for his music as his political opinions, and he’s back with another hot take about the upcoming election.

This time, Kid Rock is standing with fellow musicians Eminem and Taylor Swift, celebrating them for using their platforms, even if he doesn’t agree with their politics.

Rock posted a video on his social media profiles, shirtless, playing guitar in a camouflage hat, saying, “I love Eminem. We’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that which they believe.”

Eminem, a former collaborator of Kid Rock, and Taylor Swift have both thrown their support behind Kamala Harris in recent months.

On Tuesday, Eminem took to the stage at Huntington Place in Detroit to introduce former President Barack Obama, who was rallying in support of Harris.

And Taylor Swift used her platform to endorse Harris on Sept. 10, one day after a debate between presidential nominees Donald Trump, the former Republican president, and Harris, earning the respect of Kid Rock, apparently.

Despite being “unequivocally MAGA,” Kid Rock said he supports his fellow artists for using their platform for politics, regardless of which side of the aisle they fall on.

“Thinking differently, and having the freedom to do so, is what makes this country great.”
