and she’s like but do you see that director I made it’s incredible Reese we must get her Reese Witherspoon is putting on her best Australian accent in a clip shared by the American Film Institute June 15th Reese pays tribute to her big little lies co-star and good friend Nicole Kidman during the 20124 AFI life Achievement Award Gala she just knows who’s right for what project because most actors wait by the phone to be chosen by a director but as an actor Nicole has always been proactive even in her earliest work she picks her directors however the speech takes a hilarious turn when reys reveals that she can do a spoton impression of Nicole she’ll often say to me a a foreign film I’ve absolutely never heard of like y’all I’m in it’s out there and she’s like but do you see that director I mean it’s incredible gree we must get her we must with the 56-year-old seeming to love rees’s take on her Aussie accent laughing alongside husband Keith Urban during the speech and it only seems fitting to put Nicole’s down under roots on display as she’s the first Australian to ever receive an AFI life Achievement Award the ceremony which took place back in April at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles also marked the red carpet debut of Nicole’s daughters 15-year-old Sunday Rose and 13-year-old Faith Margaret however the girls weren’t the only family members who showed support for the Oscar winner on her big night Nicole’s sister Antonia Kidman brother-in-law Craig Marin and niece Cella Holly were all in attendance to cheer her on and during her acceptance speech the nine perfect strangers actress gave her family a sweet shout out saying then right there is the love of my life and the loves of my life my daughters have never been anywhere publicly with me on the red carpet tonight was their first night so they’re here Sunday and faith and then there’s all my nieces and nephews and my and my beautiful aunt and her husband who’s our family now this is all because of you and I love you so much the 49th AFI life Achievement Award a tribute to Nicole Kidman airs June 17th on TNT at 1 p.m. [Music]

    …..there definitely will be some who'll try and fault the accent but I think it's the essence of the intonation, inflections and delivery that has been captured quite well.
    Keeping the accent aside, you could almost imagine Nicole delivering her lines in that same manner in some dramatic scene in some film with half the words in a sort of whisper, with her brows knitted into a frown, eyes wide open with tears threatening to spill over, mouth half open (a trait that both Naomi Watts and Kristen Stewart also seem to incorporate into their acting), while taking quivering intakes of breath intermittently.
