  1. Zendaya really struck Gold. She was given her own show on Disney channel in which she was able to executive produce! Disney didn’t overwork her the way they did their other stars.

She was able to star in Spider Man which became a billion dollar movie franchise while shooting KC Undercover and not let it interfere with her contract bc Disney owned both projects!

  2. Zendaya is the BIGGEST actor of our generation. She played in so many movies and tv shows that were culture staples for our generation. She starred in the Spider Man trilogies which ended up being a billion dollar franchise (one even making 1.9 billion) She stars in Euphoria which is one of the biggest shows of our generation. She’s also in the Dune trilogies!!

Her resume is absolutely insane. Ppl say she’s the Beyoncé of Disney, but nah she’s the Rihanna of actresses! Everything she touches turns into a smash hit. The stuff she does isn’t just meaningless cash-grabs but also critically acclaimed films. She’s also a fashion icon!

  3. I feel like that's why she transitioned smoothly. The projects she took after was a slow progression into actual mature topics. She didn't force it. She became mature in a natural way. She also didn't have a big messy/rebel phase, she just showed her acting chops and you can tell she has range and not just Disney. She played very smart I'd have to say. The way she has used Fashion is incredible. She is always respectful as well and keeps out of mess. That's why

  4. Being light skinned/racially ambiguous helped her a lot… bc tbh she’s pretty overrated but gets opportunities

Edit: even with fashion she’s tall and slim so everything looks good on her. She needs a team to look good. In everything life she looks pretty average

  5. I think one of the biggest things she did was choose to not pursue music. She was good but where the soiling of most of the Disney Stars happens is via how they are portrayed through their Music Vehicles. They are kinda "adultified" in an inorganic way using their music and risque Videos. Since, she chose Fashion over "skimp and winding" videos she has maintained a bit of wholesomeness that most girls coming out of the Disney machine have lost long before they are the young age she is now(Brittany lost hers when Hit Me Baby or whatever released lol I have said I'm old!!)..

  6. Yup! & this is why I always use Zendaya as a perfect example of child star to adult celebrity pipeline. Too many times as we know, child stars end up going off the rails (& that can be for several reasons resulting in controversy and shedding a negative light on them) however Zendaya was able to SEAMLESSLY grow not into her craft as a fantastic actress but also into adulthood. She clearly didn't live a normal life, acquiring fame at such an early age but you she dealt with it in a great way. It also helps that she clearly has an amazing and smart team around her, advising her.

  7. I think it was really smart of her to abandon singing because there is in a sense a necessity to sell your sex appeal to be a singer. Lots of artists do it and they have every right to, but Zendaya clearly doesn’t want to market herself that way and she hasn’t. No shade to the other folks out there, I love that folks like Sabrina Carpenter and Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus of course seem to have control of their image and chose to do fun sexy pop, but I understand why as an artist you might not want to do that yourself.

  8. "HoW zEnDaYa EsCaPeD dIsNeY" Her parents. Her parents were sane. Her parents were sane and protective of her and they guided her away from ALL the dark. The end.

  9. Oh I remember her in Shake It Up, I think I was around 11 when I first noticed her. I think I've seen her and the other girl in Shake It Up in some movies but I honestly never really kept up her music

  10. Looking at Zendaya, I don’t think she’s had ANYTHING done to her face. (Not that there’s anything wrong with surgery) but she literally is STUNNING and always has been.

  11. There are two types of inherited wealth, material and mental, and Zendaya’s family is extremely well off in terms of emotional stability and outlook on life.

Many families are dysfunctional behind closed doors, but the typical child star family is often dysfunctional in the eyes of the public, yet everyone just put profits or entertainment before the well being of a kid 😢

  12. What also helped zendaya is that she wanted to do acting / singing / dancing in the first place and her parents never forced her. Her parents were also supportive. Unlike other actors who would take up any role available since they are the bread winner of the family or forced to do it. I also remember her in an episode in ANTM, since zendaya is tall and quite skinny she could easily pass as a model, I think that’s what also helped her propel her career through fashion

  13. i don't understand why hollywood dosen't respect disney child actors, and wants to push them to look like adults, like ryan gosling, leo dicaprio started on Disney, if you are able to manage that kind of preasure i would think you are trust worthy to any studio movie

  14. if her team were actually careful about her career, they wouldn't of let her do a song with known woman abuser chris brown. anyone that does a song with him is cancelled off my playlists because its gross. he shouldn't be supported.

  15. I liked her but I really started liking her when she mentioned how she benefits from colorism and refuses to be a token for a "close enough" black girl. If she feels the role is for a dark skinned women she wouldn't purposely take it. It's surprising because of how young she is to(and her mom is white 😂😂) and gets colorism more than the older generations or even now. I applaud her honestly 👏
