I’m with her! Physical media needs to be more common
>“I still haven’t, but I’m going to,” Plaza said. “To be honest, I had trouble opening my HBO Max account when I was trying to watch it originally. I couldn’t figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can’t figure out the passwords. I just can’t handle things like that.” “I’d love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore,” Plaza added. “I ask them every time.”
> Plaza has long been outspoken about her annoyances with streaming platforms. She told Vanity Fair last year that she gets “really angry” whenever she is forced to use one of them. “I was trying to watch ‘Top Chef’ Season 20. Couldn’t figure out how to fucking get Hulu + Live. I give up! I can’t. I just can’t,” Plaza said at the time. “And so what I like to do is go on iTunes and buy movies that are old. Or I’ll go on iTunes and just, like, buy the whole ‘Sopranos’ series, and then my husband will be like, ‘You literally can watch that for free on HBO Max.’
Voice of the people! Too many streaming services! I would gladly allow a price regulated single monopoly streaming service. Let the studios fight about the royalties division and we can get on with our lives.
i LOVE dvds and it sucks that these streaming services don’t even bother trying to even release “limited edition” physical copies since they love money so fucking much 🙄
A HBO actress is also complaining about having a Max account lmao, this isn’t gonna bode well for this platform literally trying to actively make sure people stop cancelling their subscriptions after binging one TV show they like
Oh man there’s so many shows I wish we could get DVDs for. I know the Dickinson creator pushed hard for it – I can only imagine how pretty that box set would be, too.
In Australia, HBO/Max (or whatever it is these days) is shown on Binge, and it is the worst streaming app to ever exist. I absolutely hate it, and if it wasn’t for HotD I would gladly get rid of it.
So quirky and relatable
This is like something jennifer lawrence would say in 2014
srs question do people still play DVDs? Like DVD players still exist?
