      Bury the lede that it’s excellent and quite famous in his own right actor Jared Harris saying the above.

      The films are good but there’s so much more content to explore that a TV show gives you time to do. One of my biggest complaints about the movies is the scope of >!Dumbledore’s Funeral!< With the added time of a TV show they could really do it and some other omitted content justice. The real answer to why is $$$ but I like to think about the potential positives.

      Money. They tried to expand the film franchise beyond the original books with the fantastic beasts movie only for the third movie to disappoint at the box office. It’s just easy to remake the books a tv show, milking the franchise for another 10 years.
