Today, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the Costume Institute’s spring 2025 exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Drawing inspiration from Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book, Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, the exhibit will feature garments, paintings, photographs, and more—all exploring the indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th-century through present day. As such, the 2025 chairs could not be more fitting.

Judging by the theme, there better be some homages to Dapper Dan and Virgil Abloh.

  2. I cannot wait to see what Colman wears!! He looked great at all the awards last year so I’m expecting something special here

Were no Black women available to chair? Theme is awesome and I cannot wait to see Colman.

  4. Lewis Hamilton has been buying tables and bringing young Black designers and models to the Met Gala for years now I think, really pleased to see him get this recognition for his dedication and contributions
