King Frederik and Queen Mary Participate in Holstebro’s 750th Anniversary

On October 11, 2024, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark visited Holstebro in celebration of the city’s 750th anniversary. Holstebro is the largest town in Holstebro Municipality in Mid Jutland. The town was first mentioned in a letter from Bishop Thyge of Ribe in 1274. Since February, the anniversary has been marked by more than 750 cultural events. The festivities culminated with the King and Queen’s visit, which began with an official welcome at the town hall followed by lunch.
