Italian surfer Giulia Manfrini has died after being pierced by a swordfish. The former professional snowboarder, who co-founded the travel company AWAVE Travel, had been surfing near the Mentawai Islands Regency in Indonesia when where local officials say a swordfish unexpectedly jumped up toward her and “pierced her chest.”
