NXT will be heading to the ECW Arena in Philadelphia on Wed., Nov. 6 on a night that will be made hugely important if only because they’ll be going head-to-head with AEW for the evening. They’re already hyping it up quite a bit in WWE, and now they’ve set up a couple matches for it.
One of which looks like it will involve Bubba Ray Dudley teaming with NXT Champion Trick Williams.
During Halloween Havoc, Ridge Holland showed up to confront the Busted Open Radio crew, who were running him down verbally during the Countdown show.
Later on, Holland interrupted the two for the second time and Bubba was good and pissed off about it:
That alone would have been enough to think Dudley would be working the show in just over a week but they all but confirmed the direction later in the evening when Holland attacked Trick Williams after he retained his NXT championship in the main event against Ethan Page. Bubba, as you’ll see, made the save:
It hasn’t been made official or anything just yet but they wouldn’t do all this and then not deliver on the goods, would they?!?
